Most Rev. Edward J. Slattery, Bishop of the Diocese of Tulsa, has announced the following pastoral assignments for the Diocese of Tulsa.
• Rev. Orencio Mumar is a priest from the Diocese of Talibon who has been serving in the Diocese of Tulsa since 2006. He has been appointed pastor of St. Catherine’s Parish in Nowata and of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dewey as of October 1, 2008. He was previously assigned administrator at Immaculate Conception Parish in Poteau, St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Spiro, and St. Joseph Parish in Stigler. He will reside at the St. John’s Parish rectory in Bartlesville and will receive mail at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dewey.
• Rev. Valentine Ndebilie has been assigned pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Poteau, St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Spiro, and St. Joseph Parish in Stigler as of October 1, 2008.
• Rev. Paul Amaliri is serving as a Chaplain in the US Air Force as part of the Archdiocese for the Military Services effective August 20, 2008. He will serve for three years,
• Rev. Bob Cain, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, Tulsa, will return to active service as a chaplain in the US Naval Reserve on January 2, 2009, for a one-year deployment in Djibouti, Africa. He will leave St. Bernard’s on November 30, 2008, to prepare for his chaplaincy.
• Rev. Mark Daniel Kirby, O.Cist., is a Cistercian monk from the Abbey of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, Rome. He will be spending his time in Eucharistic adoration and will assist Bishop Slattery in developing the Eucharistic devotion in the Diocese of Tulsa. He will also serve as a spiritual director for the priests and deacons. His date of birth is June 2, 1952, and his date of ordination is November 16, 1986.
• Rev. Kevin Willis is a diocesan priest from the Diocese of Fargo. He will be serving as the pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Wagoner. He will also celebrate the Extraordinary form of the Latin Rite Mass at Holy Cross for the Catholic families who have settled near Clear Creek Monastery. His date of birth is December 17, 1956, and his date of ordination is June 5, 1993.
• Rev. Donald E. Brennan, O.S.A., is an Augustinian religious order priest. He is retired from active ministry and will reside at Cascia Hall Monastery, 2520 S. Yorktown Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74114-2803. His date of birth is December 20, 1927, and his date of ordination is December 21, 1953.
• Rev. Vincent Joseph Young is a priest of the Fraternity of St. Peter. He is associate pastor at the Parish of St. Peter in Tulsa, effective September 18, 2008. His date of birth is May 8, 1947, and his date of ordination is March 25, 1978.
• Rev. Jose Kuriakose Thottathil, CMI, is a priest new to the Diocese of Tulsa from Kerala, India. He will be appointed temporarily as associate pastor at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish in Tulsa. His date of birth is June 24, 1952, and his date of ordination is May 12, 1983.
• Rev. Venant Lalonde, OFM, previously assisted in his retirement at the Parish of Sts. Peter and Paul in Tulsa and will return to his religious order.
