Pastoral Studies Institute
Welcome to the Pastoral Studies Institute, which is the Diocese of Tulsa adult education/formation program. This program is offered to all adults in the Diocese. The program is divided into four “prongs” of adult education classes. One degree program is available for those interested in studying the Catholic faith at the college level, a Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry.Our statement of purpose is to offer adult education to the Diocese of Tulsa. The Pastoral Studies Institute will provide the necessary education opportunities for those individuals seeking to further their knowledge of the Catholic faith. The PSI was developed as a response to the profound and on-going need of the Catholic Church in Eastern Oklahoma, at the initiative of the Diocesan Religious Formation Department. Newman University, in response to the initiate and in support of the life and ministry of the Church in Oklahoma, has collaborated with the Department of Religious Formation to provide a solid foundation in Catholic theology to educate, nourish, strengthen, and renew the Catholic faith.
