The Communications Department is the means by which the Bishop of Tulsa and other officials of the Diocese of Tulsa convey information, statements, pastoral letters and related material to the public through the print, broadcast and electronic media in a timely manner. The office also provides counsel to parishes and schools on public and media relations. The office is further responsible for publishing the Eastern Oklahoma Catholic, the diocesan magazine; producing and maintaining the diocesan web site; managing social media; and much more.
The Eastern Oklahoma Catholic (EOC) is the magazine for the Diocese of Tulsa. It is published ten times annually and is a gift to the Catholics of Eastern Oklahoma from Bishop David Konderla.
The EOC strives to serve the people of the diocese with stories about the lives and faith of ordinary Catholics here in eastern Oklahoma. The magazine also reports on relevant news from parishes and people; focuses on contemporary social issues through the lens of the Catholic faith; provides theological essays for catechesis; and keeps the faithful informed about upcoming events.
The EOC belongs to the people of eastern Oklahoma. As such, we welcome your story ideas, news, comments and suggestions: easternokcatholic@dioceseoftulsa.org
