Letters of Suitability

In light of the provisions of canon 903 CIC and canon 703 §1 CCEO, Letters of Suitability are required by all clergy when performing ministerial duties outside the Diocese of Tulsa. Those in the Office of the Chancellor are happy to assist our clergy with their Letters of Suitability. Written request are to be sent to the Chancellor's Office. If possible, submit your request as soon as you are aware of your need for a Letter of Suitability.

In your written request the following information is needed: 

• The name of the diocese in which you will be performing ministerial function
• The dates you will be performing your ministerial function
• The name and email of the individual/organization that is hosting you in their diocese
• The name of the place(s) you will be performing your ministerial function(s)
• The name and contact information for the person who receives Letters of Suitability

Letters of Suitability, unless explicitly stated in the letter, cannot be used repeatedly. Should you have any questions feel free to contact the Office of the Chancellor at 918-307-4928.
