In October every year, on or near the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi (October 4), the Saint Francis of Assisi Tuition Assistance event is celebrated. This is the primary fundraising event for the tuition assistance Trust.

In 2020, the Trustees began honoring one teacher from each Catholic school within the Diocese, rather than single out only one teacher as done in years past.
